Meet Audrey Smith
I’m the heart behind Indianapolis Event Planner.
I began my journey in the wedding industry as a film photographer in the early 2000s—
back when every frame truly counted. In 2008, I became a wedding officiant and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of planning everything from intimate elopements to full-scale weddings and milestone celebrations.
Today, I combine artistry, organization, and heart to bring life’s most meaningful moments together beautifully.

Life Behind the Events
I live in historic Irvington with my amazing partner, Charles—a mason who somehow still has the energy
to help me with all the heavy lifting (and whose beard I found irresistible)—and our energetic, loving boys,
Charlie and Everett.
We share our home with three dogs who keep life joyful and chaotic in equal measure:
Brody, the old man; Valentino, our blue-merle Australian Shepherd with the most unreal eyes; and Mason, who I found wandering the Pennsy Trail one morning. After weeks of searching for his people, we realized he’d already found them—and bought him his own bed.
When we’re not working or driving the kids to practice and sleepovers, you’ll usually find us exploring Indy’s neighborhoods,
biking the Pennsy Trail, floating down a river in a kayak, or planning our next trip. This past summer we made a quick stop at Niagara Falls on the Fourth of July, on our way to Cape Cod, where we visit my family every summer.
Whether it’s a quiet night at home or a full weekend of adventure, I bring that same love for connection and story into the experiences I design for my clients.
