Welcome to our Indianapolis event planning FAQ. At Indianapolis Event Planner, we know planning can raise a lot of questions.
Indianapolis Event Planning FAQ
How far in advance should I book event planning services?
For weddings, we recommend booking 12–18 months in advance. For corporate or social events, 6–12 months ensures ideal venue and vendor availability. Smaller celebrations may need less lead time, but the sooner we start, the smoother the planning.
Do you only plan weddings in Indianapolis?
No—we plan weddings, corporate galas, nonprofit fundraisers, milestone birthdays, showers, holiday parties, celebrations of life, and concierge weekends across Indiana. Our experience spans a wide range of events, large and small.
What’s the difference between Day-Of and Month-Of Coordination?
Day-Of Coordination is focused on managing vendors, timelines, and execution on the event day. Month-Of Coordination begins 6–8 weeks out—we confirm details, finalize logistics, and rehearse so you’re completely prepared.
How does pricing work for full-service planning?
Full-service planning is typically billed as a percentage of your total event budget (usually around 20%), though sometimes a flat fee makes more sense. After a consult, we’ll provide a tailored proposal based on guest count, scope, and logistics.
Can you also officiate our wedding?
Yes! Through our sister brand Hitchin’ a Bride, we offer personalized ceremonies, vow renewals, and elopement officiating alongside event planning.
